2.4 BIMI-Verified Private Accommodation
For students who prefer to live off campus, BIMI's Student Affairs Office maintains a verified database of private apartments and shared houses in Bishkek that meet minimum safety and habitability standards. All listed properties have been inspected by BIMI staff and are located within a reasonable distance from campus.
This database is available through the Student Portal and is updated at the start of each academic year. Students using BIMI-verified housing benefit from:
• Pre-negotiated rental rates that are discounted compared to market prices
• Guaranteed landlord background checks and property safety inspections
• Assistance with lease agreement review from the Student Legal Advisory Service
• Dedicated housing hotline for any accommodation-related disputes
2.5 Accommodation Application Process
All incoming students wishing to reside in the BIMI dormitory must apply through the official housing application portal. Key steps in the process are:
• Step 1: Submit the Housing Application Form via the BIMI Student Portal at least 45 days before the start of semester
• Step 2: Indicate room preference (single, double, or triple), floor preference (mixed or female-only), and any special accommodation needs
• Step 3: Receive a provisional room allocation and invoice within 5–7 working days
• Step 4: Pay the accommodation deposit to confirm the booking (refundable subject to policy conditions)
